Director General of the World Health Organization announces high death toll from Covid-19.

Switzerland: The Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced on his Twitter account that they have already exceeded four million deaths from Covid-19.

Cubasí reports that the top head of the WHO reported the figure and expressed concern about the increase in the number of infections around the planet.

Ghebreyesus warned that there are several countries where the increase in sickness and hospitalizations is causing a shortage of oxygen as well as other medicines and treatments.

Similarly, he stressed that other nations are relaxing health prevention measures due to their high rates in the vaccination process of their populations.

The WHO director insisted that the unequal distribution of vaccines and the appearance of new variants of the coronavirus that have become more contagious are factors that explain the spread of the disease in parts of Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Adhanom Ghebreyesus, assured on his Twitter account, that the world is going through a dangerous point that must be fought with the fairness of the distribution of vaccines.
