Mayabeque, Cuba: Workers of the Base Business Unit of the Aqueduct and Sewer, in Güines, intensify the work of cleaning the sewers in the main arteries of this city.
The purpose is to clean the sewage drains, as well as the landfills, vitally important work in times of pandemic to maintain hygiene in the territory and preserve the health of the inhabitants.
According to the entity’s director, Marcos Alcántara, they carry out actions with high-pressure and suction cars in various areas of the municipality where obstructions in the hydraulic networks were reported.
“At the moment we continue working in other areas where there is also obstruction to prevent the overflowing of waters and their crossing, Alcántara explained.
By means of a project approved in the province, the drainage system that has deteriorated due to obsolescence will be restored, since it has been in use for more than 60 years ?, concluded the director of the Business Unit for Aqueduct and Sewerage Base in Güines.
