Educators from Mayabeque support areas with restricted movement

Mayabeque, Cuba: Education workers, residents of the Mañalich popular council, of Melena del Sur, carry out important tasks, after declaring the site as a quarantine zone due to the appearance of several cases of Covid-19.

As explained by the head of the primary education level in that territory, Olga Hernández Cruz, they support vulnerable personnel, the isolated ones, through message service. A brigade goes through the area to supervise that there is no mobility of people.

The restrictive measures keep residents inside their homes, but with the arrival of resources from Tiendas Caribe and a truck of vegetables and meats from the territory’s marketing company, a small group of support staff breaks the apparent stillness of the area community and distribute them applying the indications of the temporary work group.

“An effort has been made, in the popular council a food brigade was created that is in charge of distributing each of the resources that arrives, prioritizing vulnerable personnel, families that are isolated,” concluded the head of the primary education level in that territory, Olga Hernández Cruz.
