Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, July 22, 60,994 patients were admitted, 20,118 suspects, 3,441 under surveillance and 37,435 confirmed active, the official website of the Ministry of Public Health publishes.

For COVID-19, 51,425 samples were studied, resulting in 7,784 positive samples. The country accumulates 6 million 099 thousand 427 samples made and 316 thousand 383 positive.

Of the total number of cases (7,784): 7,690 were contacts of confirmed cases; 46 with a source of infection abroad; 48 without a specified source of infection. Of the 7,784 diagnosed cases, 4,077 were female and 3,707 male.

6.5% (507) of the 7 thousand 784 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 102 thousand 497 that represents 32.4% of those confirmed to date

The 7,784 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years: 1,394; from 20 to 39 years: 2 thousand 209; from 40 to 59 years: 2 thousand 584; and more than 60: thousand 597 cases.

Until July 22, 190 countries and 32 territories with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 193 million 174 thousand 257 (+ 641 thousand 942) with 13 million 468 thousand 850 active cases and 4 million 147 thousand 402 deaths (+ 9,815) for a fatality of 2.15% (=).

In the region of the Americas region, 76 million 474 thousand 100 confirmed cases (+ 190 thousand 926) are reported, 39.59% of the total cases reported in the world, with 7 million 100 thousand 804 active cases and 2 million 1 thousand 338 deaths (+ 4 thousand 623) for a fatality of 2.62% (=).
