Mayabeque, Cuba: The producers of the municipality of Melena del Sur stand out in the use of the soils around the highways in Mayabeque with the premise of growing in the delivery of food to the people.
The selection of soils defines the crop to be sown, explained the General Director of the Agricultural Company of the territory, Erick León Vasaco, adding that they take advantage of more than 30 hectares in the plantation of guava and yucca.
The recovery of arable areas at the entrance to Melena del Sur also counts among the beautification actions.
The territory has productive enclaves due to its agricultural potentialities and at the moment they mount the roofs of the covered houses.
The municipality is contributing 25 tons per day destined for the province.
