Mayabeque, Cuba: This Sunday the territorial defense day took place in the southern zone of San José de las Lajas, chaired by Yuniasky Crespo Baquero, President of the Provincial Defense Council, Colonel Alfredo Hernández Cárdenas, Chief of Army Special Troops Occidental and First Colonel Orlando Almaguel Moreno, Chief of the Mayabeque Military Region.
The presidents of the 11 municipal defense councils, vice presidents of these structures and members of the Production and Defense Brigades (BPD) of entities of the Popular Council participated in the demonstration exercise.
During the course of the day, the participants increased their preparation at the level of the Zone Defense Council, the different working groups and specified the actions and strategies to face an enemy invasion.
The members of the BPD of the Mayabeque Raw Materials Recovery Company demonstrated their willingness to confront internal subversion, protect state resources and contribute to citizen tranquility.
