Mayabeque, Cuba: The young people in Madruga are preparing for the national elections of Popular Power that will be held on March 26 with the analysis and exchange about the Cuban elections.
The debate promoted by the leadership of the Young Communists League in the territory has the participation of jurists and other professionals who expose the principles and particularities that distinguish the electoral process in the nation.
Students from the High School Student Federation (FEEM) and the University Student Federation (FEU), as well as young workers, learn more about the Cuban electoral law, socialist democracy and popular leadership in government management in these meetings.
In the dialogues, the young people clarify doubts, present criteria and receive the information that allows them to go to the polls with conscience and responsibility, convinced that voting is a right and a civic duty.
They are also aware of the candidacy for this municipality, the career and personal merits of Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, member of the Political Bureau and General Secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Federation and Anauris González Núñez, base delegate of constituency 30 and worker of the sugar mill plant. They are also interested in why the united vote is an option to support the Revolution.
The national elections are the pretext in this opportunity to raise the legal culture of young people, necessary to assume the role of continuing to build the country they want.
