Havana, Cuba: Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on Tuesday said that his country´s recent donation of 458,000 Soberana 02 vaccine doses sent to the Saharawi people is an expression of the historic brotherly relations between both nations.
As the Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted on his official Twitter account, the modest contribution of the Caribbean nation shows the solidarity that unites these peoples and governments.
Authorities of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) received on this day the doses of the Cuban immunogen, intended for children between two and 18 years of age.
The shipment arrived at the international airport of Algeria Houari Boumedienne, from where it will be later transferred to its final destination in Saharawi territory. Cuba and the SADR established diplomatic ties on January 21, 1980, five years after the proclamation of the independence of the nation located in North Africa.
