Mayabeque, Cuba: Reversing the epidemiological situation due to the increase in dengue patients, constitutes today the main task of the Public Health and Epidemiology Direction of Batabanó, increasing sanitation and vector control measures.
The main actions are aimed at the inspection, destruction of artificial deposits, abatement in one hundred percent of the houses and the fumigation where foci of the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito are detected.
The objective of the plan is to eliminate the factors that condition the spread of the vector, so that they do not pose a danger to the transmission of diseases.
Although the municipal health authorities work to combat the situation, the best way is to reinforce the surveillance of homes, work centers and students. (BSH)
