Mayabeque, Cuba: A modern medical oxygen plant, the first of its kind in the country’s youngest province, contributes to sovereignty in the production and filling of cylinders to meet patient demand.
As announced by the director of the health institution, Dr. Amed Suárez Valdés, specialist in First Degree in Internal Medicine, will also supply the gas to the Manuel Piti Fajardo Maternal and Child Hospital, family doctor and nurse offices and polyclinics against possible vulnerabilities,
The head of the Comprehensive Automation Company (CEDAI) brigade, Juan Luis Montero, explained that for the assembly of this state-of-the-art technology equipment from the People’s Republic of China, a warehouse was built in the outer area of the center, in addition to the network of medicinal gases to guarantee the quality of the service in intensive care rooms and others.
Montero added that the medical oxygen plant, installed at the Aleida Fernández Clinical Surgical Hospital in the city of Güines, has a capacity of 30 cubic meters.
