Havana: Cuba will present its new Portfolio of Opportunities for foreign investment today in the first edition of the 2020 Business Forum, an event that will run virtually until December 9, Prensa Latina publishes.

According to the agenda of the meeting, on Tuesday the disclosure of the Exportable Offer of Goods and Services 2020-2022 is also planned, which will include products such as rum, coffee, sugar and tobacco, as well as professional services of various areas.

Likewise, the general director of the Mariel Special Development Zone, Ana Teresa Igarza, will explain the progress of this economic pole of western Cuba and its potential.

Another of the conferences that will take place today will be related to the Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Windows, spaces that facilitate procedures for entrepreneurs.

Cuban and foreign legal entities linked to commercial activity with foreign capital, as well as non-state workers, will have access to these debates by videoconference.

Recently in the presentation of the event, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, expressed that it seeks to strengthen the integration between the private sector and the socialist state enterprise.

Likewise, representatives of foreign and local governments, chambers of commerce, business promotion centers, among other stakeholders, will be connected.

The appointment will be a space for exchange between businessmen from the largest of the Antilles and the world, of vital importance given the impossibility of holding the International Fair of Havana due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Foreign investment is one of the pillars of the socioeconomic strategy implemented in Cuba to face the global economic crisis exacerbated by the economic blockade of the United States.
