May Day

Mayabeque, Cuba_ As every year, Batabanó’s labor collectives marched this May Day with Cuban flags, with the same color as always, with red and blue, with the special connotation of being the ones that also identify the logo of the popular movement Mayabeque Creciendo Juntos (Growing Together).

Mayabeque, Cuba_ There are many reasons for the people in Batabanó, with so many results in all aspects, to turn the World Proletariat Day into a demonstration of support for the Revolution in a new context.

Mayabeque, Cuba_ The trade union movement in San Nicolás celebrates this day under the slogan of Unity, Commitment and Victory and expressing their support for the continuity of the revolutionary process expressed in the election of the new National Assembly of People's Power in its ninth term.

Mayabeque, Cuba_ More than five thousand residents of San Nicolas will march this morning of May Day through the wide street of this territory because we are followers of the revolutionary work.

Mayabeque, Cuba_ The celebration of the International Workers' Day this year is characterized by the unity and commitment of workers to meet production plans and increase efficiency in each work.

Repeating the slogan "¡Viva el Primero de Mayo!" over and over again, does not constitute a simple rhetorical equation. Not at all. It is not accidental or fortuitous that in the country, champion of liberties and justice, the work’s party is the Labor Day of the first Monday of each September. Nor that the empire's haldberdiers devote so much time and space to denigrating the date, and so define the International Workers' Day as a historical manipulation of communism.
