United States: United States Attorney General William Barr authorized federal prosecutors to investigate what he considered substantial allegations of irregularities in voting and vote tabulation, Prensa Latina reports.
Through a memo, Barr noted that investigations can be conducted if there are clear and seemingly credible allegations of wrongdoing that, if true, could potentially affect the outcome of a federal election in an individual state.
The senior official urged not to proceed with complaints that are considered extravagant or outlandish. On December 8, the deadline for resolving electoral disputes in the states, including recounts and judicial disputes in this regard, will end.
Subsequently, the members of the Electoral College will meet on December 14 to make the result official.
