Washington: The United States Chamber of Commerce called on President Donald Trump to stop delaying the transition of power to the virtual president-elect, Joe Biden, Prensa Latina publishes.
In a statement sent to the digital portal Axios, the executive director of the powerful business group, Tom Donohue, referred to Biden as president-elect, despite the fact that Trump refuses to recognize the victory of the Democrat in the last elections.
The head of the General Services Administration, Emily Murphy, who was appointed by Trump, has not yet signed a confirmation letter that would recognize Biden as the next president and release funds for the transition to begin.
For this reason, another business group, the National Association of Manufacturers, asked that administrative entity to begin the transition of power, and recalled the importance of addressing the economic crisis derived from the COVID-19 pandemic.
