Cuba: The Cuban Women Federation (FMC by its Spanish initials) presented the Communication strategy of the National Campaign for Nonviolence Gender that begins a plan of activities to be carried out during the 16 days of activism against this global scourge, Radio Reloj reports.
The Member of the National Secretariat of the FMC, Osmaida Hernández, in the presentation of the strategy explained that the organization intends to visualize the commitment as a national mechanism for the advancement of women and the government of Cuba in the work for non-violence for reasons of gender in all its forms.
With the message of Zero Tolerance: Together for Non-Violence Gender, it is the first time that the FMC presents this type of communication strategy, which proposes a methodology for the design of prevention protocols and institutional care for victims of violence.
It also intends to implement a training strategy for operators of line 103 and service personnel (legal, police and health).
The novelty of this National Campaign of the FMC is that it makes available to people in general products and guides that will allow them to orient themselves in complex situations, such as the activation of Line 103 that provides telephone services for the care of victims of gender violence.
Another resource is the Service Map Application that makes known the resources available for care, helps with referral to other services, offers an effective response to victims and survivors, as well as serves as a tool for personnel operating in the different services.
