Known in Spanish as COSUDE, in English as SDC, it is an agency of the federal administration of Switzerland and part of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. Together with other federal offices, it is responsible for the total coordination of Swiss activities in international cooperation, cooperation with Eastern Europe and humanitarian aid.
Since 2008, it has been managed by Martin Dahinden, has a staff of 536 employees, has no income and its annual expenses total 1,433 million Swiss francs.
