Havana, Cuba: The Mariel Special Development Zone and the Gran Piedra China-Belarusian Industrial Park, of the Republic of Belarus, signed a memorandum of understanding, with the aim of strengthening and stimulating economic and cooperation relations between both nations, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

The document was initialed through video conference by Ana Teresa Igarza Martínez, general director of the Office of the Mariel Special Zone, and Alexander Grigórievich Yaroshenko, head of the Administration of the Gran Piedra Industrial Park, the Cuban institution on its official website refers.

During the virtual ceremony, the Antillean representative expressed that this initiative is a direct result of the visit made by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel to Belarus in 2019, during which he exchanged and toured the Park facilities and emphasized that these relationships open the doors to the establishment of businesses and investments in both countries.
