Cuba: The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez called to save culture and identity during a meeting today with a hundred young people from different sectors, in Plaza Cadenas, of the University of Havana, Radio Reloj reports.
In a debate that was attended by private sector workers, farmers, transporters, students, the president declared that culture is the key to understanding the processes that the country is going through and the relationship with the United States Government.
In the same way, he insisted that it is essential to recognize that the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington on Cuba exists, and has historical reasons.
Díaz-Canel spoke to the young people gathered there about the importance of understanding the Cuban Identity and feeling proud of being Cuban, and said that this can only be possible if we know how the nation was founded and what our identity is.
