Mayabeque, Cuba: Committed to continue defending the conquests of the Nation, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) commemorate today the 61st anniversary of its the creation by the historical leader Fidel Castro Ruz, on September 28, 1960.
And although the health situation the country is experiencing due to the pandemic did not allow the wait for the anniversary with a soup in each neighborhood or with festivities and celebrations, the date has not been overlooked due to the great symbolism that this historical moment implies for reinforce the tasks in defense of the revolutionary process.
In the province of Mayabeque, multiple recognition activities have been carried out to highlight the most outstanding CDRs members for their work in the area in support of the most vulnerable in the community, as well as those who have not rested in the confrontation with the pandemic by the the health and life of our people, especially the health personnel who attend to patients in isolation centers, Acute Respiratory Infections consultations, hospitals or other institutions.
The CDRs, in these 61 years, have the task of intensifying their work to promote the fulfillment of different ideological, economic and social tasks, in a context marked by the consequences of the virus, the global economic crisis and the worsening of subversion and the blockade.
In this framework, the call of the highest Mayan authorities is to rescue the revolutionary vigilance, and not to stop with unity in the confrontation with crime and social indiscipline, among other scourges that may harm the tranquility of the Homeland.
