Volcano eruption continues in La Palma.

Spain: The Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Canary Island of La Palma, in Spain, which erupted on September 19, continues to generate strong lava ejections that form new flows and advance rapidly through its cone, Radio Reloj reports.

11 days after the eruption, the Government has deployed a wide device of technical and human resources, within the framework of the Special Plan for Civil Protection and Emergency Assistance for Volcanic Risk in the Canary Islands.

After the arrival of the lava into the sea this Tuesday, four neighborhoods on the coast of La Palma maintain confinement, due to the formation of a cloud of water vapor and other gases, while around 6 thousand people have been evacuated.

The last eruption of La Palma in 1971 gave rise to the Teneguía volcano, and generated the growth of the island and an advance in the scientific knowledge of the eruptions in the archipelago.
