Mayabeque, Cuba: The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and Secretary General of the Cuban Women Federation, Teresa Amarelle Boué, presented in Mayabeque the Strategy for Strengthening the Organization until 2024.
According to a note published on social networks, the work projection is based on the ideas, concepts and guidelines raised in the Eighth Party Congress and the work system developed from the Tenth Congress of the women’s organization.
Amarelle Boué called for rescuing the work in the base structures and updating the functioning in the fight against the manifestations of crime, social indiscipline, the confrontation with the subversive plans of the enemy and the consolidation of values.
The 13 objectives outlined for this period will favor the prominence of the federated in the defense of the Revolution, the consolidation of their rights and duties; as well as their families.
Among the objectives, the Program for the Advancement of Women will constitute a vital element in the development of policies in their favor, thus giving continuity to the advancement and development of gender equality in Cuba.
Other topics addressed in the seminar were the political assurance of the popular consultation on the Family Code, with emphasis on expressions of gender equality and the accountability of the People’s Power delegate to their electors.
The General Secretary of the FMC, Teresa Amarelle Boué, guided a greater dialogue in the communities on energy saving, resuming the school year, ways to prevent COVID-19, dengue and other issues of social interest.
She also insisted on strengthening the functioning of the blocks and delegations, and increasing the presence of women in social networks, in defense of the Revolution.
