Austria: The Austrian government approved mandatory confinement for the millions of citizens who are not fully vaccinated against the new coronavirus, Prensa Latina reports.
The measure, which came into force today, was announced at a press conference by Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg, after discussing the issue with the governors of the nine provinces during a video call.
Exit restrictions are initially limited to ten days. Those unvaccinated will only be able to leave their house or apartment for urgent reasons, such as shopping for food, going to work, or visiting the doctor.
