Mayabeque, Cuba: The International Day of Human Solidarity is celebrated this Monday, December 20, in order to promote this universal value for the cooperation and well-being of the peoples.
The residents of Mayabeque confirm that we Cubans are an example to the world when it comes to helping people overcome poverty, hunger and disease.
“We are fraternal both within the country and in other latitudes. We not only help in the harsh months of facing the pandemic, but also in disaster situations, with the collaboration of the Henry Reeve Brigade”.
“In addition to health personnel, other professionals such as engineers, teachers, athletes, offer their grain of sand in other nations.”
“In the neighborhood we also show our brotherhood. We are like family there, even if it’s not by blood. We support each other in everything and we carry out volunteer work together, cleaning the block”.
This International Day of Human Solidarity, Cuba will continue to put the person and the planet at the center, relying on human rights.
