Cuba: The Cuban Chamber of Commerce projects as a work strategy the integration of all the actors that today intervene in the economic scenario of the country, Prensa Latina reports.
According to the institution’s Twitter account, they currently receive continuous requests from micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to join that entity, which promotes the development of associates and, in particular, of commercial activity.
As part of its work this year, the Chamber carried out the accompaniment and support in the international promotion, training and consultancies of the integrated companies, mainly in the areas of commercial intelligence, market studies and access strategies to these.
These functions are of interest to the more than 1,100 MSMEs approved since last September.
In mid-December, the Ministry of Economy and Planning had given the green light to 1,66 private and 21 state-owned MSMEs, and 18 non-agricultural cooperatives joined them.
58 percent of these entities were pre-existing businesses, while 42 percent corresponded to new ventures.
In total, it is estimated that these economic actors will generate 17 thousand 16 new jobs in the economy.
Of all those approved, 66 are part of local development projects, 32 have previously carried out export operations and eight are incubated in the Science and Technology Park of Havana.
