Havana, Cuba: Cuba is present from today at the 25th edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair of the Eastern Mediterranean EMITT 2022, based in Istanbul.

At the event, which will last until February 12, the Caribbean nation arrives with a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) represented by several of its travel agencies; such is the case of Havanatur and Cubanacan.

The Cuban representatives within the contest will present the portfolio of businesses associated with the leisure sector, as well as the different destinations of sun, beach, nature, health, among others of which the Antillean island is prestigious.

Turkey currently constitutes an important destination connecting Europe and Asia for Cuba, in addition to its own nationals who also bet on the largest of the Antilles as a place to rest and enjoy.

The Cuban delegation is headed by the ambassador of Havana in Ankara, Luis Amorós, and the deputy general director of Marketing of the Mintur, Eddy Santos, as well as other officials and representatives of tourist agencies.

EMITT is one of the five largest tourism exhibitions in the world, annually attracting around 45,000 industry professionals, as well as tourists seeking new and exciting opportunities from destinations and travel service companies around the world.

The fair is a valuable business platform providing new business and cooperation opportunities to the Turkish and world travel sectors, and is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Airlines, in cooperation with the Turkish Federation of Hoteliers and the Turkish Association of Tourism Investors.
