Moscow: The Russian embassy in the United States denounced today on its Telegram channel that the West is trying to demonize the Armed Forces of its country with false accusations about alleged crimes in Ukraine, Prensa Latina publishes.

“The provocation in the city of Bucha is the height of lies and cynicism. In Washington, having no evidence, they immediately took the position of a prosecutor and began to name the culprits,” the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said.

He pointed out that, contrary to these accusations, the Russian Army is increasingly increasing humanitarian aid in the controlled areas of Ukraine, delivering hundreds of tons of food, medicine and essential items to meet the needs of the civilian population.

He stressed that Moscow troops are also responsible for ensuring the safety of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of Ukrainians and foreign citizens.

“American colleagues must pay attention to the facts and stop the criminal indifference to the actions of the nationalist battalions that continue to blockade civilians in the cities, open fire on refugees indiscriminately, terrorize and torture all who do not share their ideology. Nazi,” Antonov stressed.

Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that, unfortunately, attempts by Western countries to politicize and even speculate on humanitarian issues in Ukraine do not stop.

In a meeting in Moscow with the Undersecretary General for Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations Organization, Martin Griffiths, Lavrov described the Bucha events as “a false attack” and estimated that a staging was carried out there that Ukraine and the West are disclosing by all channels and social networks possible.

“Another counterfeit attack was launched in the city of Bucha, kyiv region, after Russian military personnel left there, according to the plans and agreements reached,” he said.

The foreign minister clarified that the military of his country left that city on March 30 and on the 31st his mayor said that everything was fine. “And two days later, we saw how the same production was organized in the streets, which they are now trying to use for anti-Russian purposes,” he noted.

He recalled that two weeks ago there were attempts to stage a crime by the Russian Army in one of the maternity hospitals in Mariupol. “As it later became known, the attempts were made with an openly provocative purpose, and the false materials that were submitted were exposed,” he warned.

Last Saturday night images of bodies lying in the streets of Bucha, some with their hands tied, were released. In this regard, the advisor to the office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podoliak, declared that the civilians “were unarmed”, “did not represent any threat” and “were shot dead by Russian soldiers”.

On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry considered the images a provocation and denounced that it is a staging created for the Western media.

He clarified that all the Russian soldiers left that city on March 30, while the images were broadcast four days later, after members of the Ukrainian Security Service and local television arrived in the town.

According to the Russian military entity, the facts “irrefutably confirm that Bucha’s photos and videos are another staging of the kyiv regime for the Western media, as happened in Mariupol with the maternity, as well as in other cities.”
