Havana: At midnight yesterday, August 7, 773 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, another 11,220 people are monitored in their homes, from the Primary Health Care, the National Director of Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán García explained, Cubadebate reports.
For COVID-19, 3 thousand 657 samples were studied, resulting in 59 positive samples. The country accumulates 293,069 samples carried out and 2,888 positive (0.99%).
The 59 confirmed cases were Cuban. Of those diagnosed, 16 (27.1%) were contact of confirmed cases, 41 (69.4%) with a source of infection abroad and 2 (3.3%) with an unspecified source of infection. By age groups: 20 years to 40 years 27 (45.7%), from 41 to 60 years 32 (54.2%). 84.7% (50) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

Matanzas: 2 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Villa Clara: 6 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Cienfuegos: 4 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Sancti Spirítus: 2 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Ciego de Ávila: 1 case, who are traveler from Venezuela
Camagüey: 3 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Las Tunas: 1 case, who are travelers from Venezuela
Santiago de Cuba: 4 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Granma: 6 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Holguín: 4 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Guantánamo: 5 cases, who are travelers from Venezuela
Of the 2,888 patients diagnosed with the disease, 356 (12.3%) remain confirmed, 349 of them, 98.0% with stable clinical evolution. There are 88 deaths (none in the day), two evacuated and 2 thousand 442 recovered patients (85%) (13 discharges yesterday). 7 patients are reported in serious condition and none in critical condition.
Until August 7, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported with 19 million 76 thousand 745 confirmed cases (+ 283 thousand 223) and 714 thousand 618 deaths (+ 6 thousand 903) for a fatality of 3.74 (- 0.02).
