Mayabeque, Cuba: Faced with the passage of tropical storm Laura through the western provinces, the Municipal Defense Council in San Nicolás reinforces actions in the areas most prone to flooding to achieve full protection of the population and economic resources.
This was stated to the press by Amaury López Alfonso, President of the Defense Council in the town, insisting on the need to intensify measures in high-risk areas in the face of overflows due to rains or the penetration of the sea, as is the case of the Playa Caimito population settlement.
López Alfonso urged the population to maintain discipline and be informed to fully comply with the measures indicated by the Civil Defense.
