Mayabeque, Cuba: The final workshop for the socialization of results of the course on Management and Feeding Strategy for Cattle was recently held at the Institute of Animal Science (ICA), located in San José de las Lajas.
This course is part of a Comprehensive Development Program of the Valle del Perú Livestock Company, located in the capital of Mayabeque, a project inserted with the purpose of training the producers of that entity.
In this preparation the farmers received theoretical and practical aspects to promote livestock feeding in a sustainable way based on the use of pastures, forages, residues and other local resources.
At the meeting, the ICA research director, María Felicia Díaz Sánchez, gave the conference Contribution of the Science and Innovation System of the Institute of Animal Science, to the production of animal feed in Cuba. (LHS)
