This Group of courageous soldiers in white coats of Doctors and nurses specialized in Disaster and Serious Epidemics Situations spread a message of hope throughout the world.
The 7,400 volunteer health professionals that comprise it have already treated more than 4 million people, demonstrating their high professional skills in dealing with previous epidemiological events, which the WHO recognizes, such as Ebola in Africa.
Numerous solidarity organizations around the world began an active campaign to propose this contingent of rescuers to the candidacy of the Nobel Peace Prize in its version of 2021, signatures and endorsements of the noble purpose have been collected and an expansive awareness is brewing in numerous countries on this proposal.
The Culinary Federation of Cuba and its more than 65 thousand associates join from their positions to support this deserved candidacy of the Cuban Contingent and urges its members to convene through their personal contacts among colleagues from other countries the intention to raise this movement.
