Cuba reports 73 new positive cases to Covid-19.

Havana: The national director of Epidemiology of the Minsap, Francisco Durán, reported 73 new cases with Covid-19 this Thursday, after the study of 7186 samples in all the molecular biology laboratories of the country, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

At midnight this Wednesday there were 6669 people admitted, 4825 were under surveillance, 1220 are suspicious and 624 are confirmed active.

Of those diagnosed, 72 are Cubans and one is a foreigner residing in the country who arrived in the country a few days ago, 72 have a history of being a contact for previous cases and one has a source of infection abroad. 49 are men and 24 are women. At the time of diagnosis, 52 were asymptomatic (71.2%).

Considering the distribution by province of the cases, Ciego de Ávila includes 50, Sancti Spíritus 13, Havana 9 (one imported) and Matanzas 1 case.

Of the 624 confirmed active cases, 615 show a stable evolution, two are in critical condition and seven in serious condition.

There are 122 deaths and two evacuees.

Yesterday there were 29 medical discharges for a cumulative of 4,922 recovered people.
