Havana: The meteorological conditions are conducive to the occurrence of numerous showers, rains and thunderstorms in the western region since the early hours of this Friday, which can become strong and even locally intense, mainly in the province of Pinar del Río and of the especial municipality Isla de la Juventud.
This meteorological situation is associated with the advance of an active tropical wave through the south of the western region of Cuba, which is associated with a wide and disorganized area of cloudy and rainy activity with electrical storms.
These rains are forecast to persist in the aforementioned territories this weekend. Therefore, it is recommended to pay attention to this meteorological situation, especially to the evolution of the rains.
