Home construction.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The housing policy is advancing in Mayabeque and the last quarter of the year is decisive for fulfilling the agreed plans, a commitment that is reaffirmed in the 11 municipalities, even in the midst of the prevailing economic limitations.

Through the state, 120 houses were delivered until last September in the territory and another 80 are in the different phases of execution to complete the 200 planned for this year.

More than a hundred low-income families have benefited from the state subsidy program and work is being done on another 50 houses to complete them before the end of the year.

According to the general director of infrastructure in the province, Félix Albelo Bueno, said that one of the main achievements of 2020 is the strengthening of housing in the local production of construction materials.

The sale plan for these resources is 12 percent over-compliant in the demarcation, thereby guaranteeing the floor, structure and roof elements of the properties assigned to the most vulnerable segments of the population.

They are alternatives and local strategies to fill the deficit of materials from industry and put a stop to the existing housing deterioration.

It is also a sign of the government’s interest in maintaining the advancement of economic and social programs, even in the current complex scenario aggravated by the pandemic and the intensification of the United States blockade.

In territories of Mayabeque there is a constructive movement for the execution of social works and they are working to arrive at the tenth anniversary of the province with a better image and Growing Together.
