For COVID-19, 5,770 samples were studied, resulting in 38 positive samples. The country accumulates 656 thousand 805 samples carried out and 5 thousand 883 positive (0.90%).
The 38 diagnosed cases are Cuban, of which 37 cases (97.4%) were contacts of confirmed cases and one (2.6%) without a specified source of infection.
Of the 38 confirmed cases, 20 (52.6%) were men and 18 (47.3%) were women. 78.9% (30) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
By province and municipality, the 38 confirmed cases are located in Havana 5 cases, Sancti Spíritus 7 cases and Ciego de Ávila 26 cases. Of the 5,883 patients diagnosed with the disease, 480 (8.1%) remain confirmed, 478 99.6% with stable clinical evolution. 123 deaths are reported (none of the day), two evacuated and 5 thousand 278 recovered patients (90%) (46 discharges in the day).
