Transport and Tourism in the New Normality

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Ministers of Transportation, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, and of Tourism Juan Carlos García Granda, appeared this Friday at the Round Table to report on the actions of their bodies in the new normality and within the Economic and Social Strategy of the country.

Rodríguez Dávila said that the commercialization of tickets for travel by plane, trains and catamaran was restored at the national level. On Monday 19 interprovincial trips are restored.

The bus terminal receives an investment process and will open its doors soon with new ventilation and comfort conditions for passengers.

International transportation is open in the different provinces of the country, except in Havana City, which does not yet have an opening date, but does receive humanitarian flights. The movement of Cruises and boats is also open under strict sanitary regulations.

The tourist movement is extended to all the provinces of the country from the opening that took place in air transportation. Cayo Coco will remain close due to the epidemiological situation in Ciego de Ávila.

The performance of PCR on all people from different countries who enter the country are guaranteed, those who arrived with coronavirus have already been evaluated and isolated.

The Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García Granda, said that from the new normality the international tourism operation is extended to the provinces that are in that stage.

Private houses can be incorporated into the accommodation of international tourists.
