Cuba confirms 53 new positive cases for Covid-19.

Havana: At midnight yesterday, October 21, 3,263 patients are admitted to health institutions for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 2,217 under surveillance, 626 suspects, and 420 confirmed, the website of the Minsap publishes.

For COVID-19, 6,798 samples were studied, resulting in 53 positive samples. The country accumulates 770,140 samples carried out and 6,421 positive (0.83%).

Of the 53 diagnosed cases, 52 are Cuban and one foreigner; 52 were contacts of confirmed cases and one with a source of infection abroad. Of the 53 confirmed cases, 11 are female and 42 male. 68.2% (43) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

Of the 6,421 patients diagnosed with the disease, 420 (6.5%) remain confirmed, 415 (98.8%) with stable clinical evolution. 128 deaths are reported (one of the day), two evacuated, 57 discharges of the day, 5,871 recovered patients accumulate (91.5%), two critical and three serious.
