Tour of the ?Valle del Perú? Agricultural Company

Havana: Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel together with the Council of Ministers of Cuba today reviews important productive programs in Villa Clara province, during the third visit of the body to the central territory, Prensa Latina publishes.

The Cuban president learned about the march of agricultural programs at the Yabú Valley Various Crops Company and the Las Marianas organoponic in the provincial capital, located 250 kilometers east of Havana.

He also visited the Primero de Mayo Mixed Educational Center and the Bio-pesticides and Bio-fertilizers Plant, which will have the capacity to benefit approximately 600 thousand hectares with natural products from the national industry.

The head of state called for the promotion of productive independence, one of the main points in the new Cuban economic strategy.

For his part, the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, toured places of economic and social interest in the Cabairién municipality, in the north of Villa Clara.

The head of the Government visited the Dolores Productive Pole and the José Martí School, where new techniques are applied for the learning of children about the health measures against Covid-19.

The vice president, Salvador Valdés, evaluated the impact of sugarcane irrigation, planting, the preparation of the sugar harvest and the rice program in the Héctor Rodríguez power plant, in the Sagua la Grande municipality.

Among other topics, the government tour includes a review of programs such as food production, housing, construction, tourism, the sugar harvest, health, energy, commerce and gastronomy, water supply and education and its links with the sustainable development of the country.

After seven months of a confrontation with the Covid-19 pandemic, the Cuban government resumed that style of work on October 15 with a busy schedule in the eastern territory of Santiago de Cuba.

Six vice ministers and holders of various portfolios, together with the Villa Clara authorities, participate in the current work tour to visit centers of economic and social interest and review compliance with indications and agreements.
