Mayabeque, Cuba: Poultry farming and pig production in Mayabeque are marching at a good rhythm so far this year compared to 2019. These lines are of vital importance for the diet of the province and the rest of the country.
The peasants strive to comply with the agreed figures. According to the deputy director of agriculture, Eduardo Alonso Rivero, until today the poultry farmers delivered 2.6 million eggs over the plan and 499 thousand positions in the state order.
“In each one of the poultry farms the efficiency indicators improved considerably and with it the yields”, Alonso Rivero declared.
The production of pork is another edge of agriculture that also shows progress. The deputy director of agriculture in the demarcation explained that they have already delivered 1,889, which represents 410 tons above the plan, an over compliance of 28 percent.
