Havana: Cuba reported 29 new patients confirmed with Covid-19 on Monday, after the study of 7,979 samples in the different molecular biology laboratories of the country, according to reports from the official website of the Ministry of Public Health.
At midnight this Sunday, 3,623 people were admitted to hospitals for epidemiological clinical surveillance, of which 751 were suspects, 2,436 were under surveillance and 436 were confirmed active.
The country accumulates 800 thousand 197 samples carried out and six thousand 595 positive (0.82%).
The cases diagnosed are all Cuban. Of the total, 25 were contacts of confirmed cases, two without a specified source of infection and two with a source of infection abroad. Of them 10 were women and 19 men. 51.7% (15) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
By provinces they belong to Pinar del Río (11 cases), Artemisa 11, Sancti Spiritus 4 (1 imported), Ciego de Avila 2 and Las Tunas 1 (imported).
Of the 6 thousand 595 patients diagnosed with the disease, 436 (6.62%), 431 (98.8%) with stable clinical evolution remain confirmed. 128 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 31 discharges of the day, 6,029 recovered patients accumulate (91.4%), one critical and four serious.
Until October 25, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 42 million 758 thousand 47 (+478 thousand 916) and one million 151 thousand 323 deaths (+6 thousand 9) for a fatality of 2, 69 (-0.02).
In the region of the Americas, 19 million 695 thousand 282 confirmed cases (+151 thousand 715) are reported, 46.06% of the total cases reported in the world, with 625 thousand 771 deaths (+2 thousand 507) for a fatality of 3.18% (-0.01).
