Díaz-Canel sends message to the Government and people of Turkey for earthquake.

Havana: As a expression of respect and solidarity, the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent a message of condolences to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for the damage caused by the earthquake, which recently affected that country, the Granma newspaper publishes.

According to the information published on the website of the Cuban Embassy in Turkey, Díaz-Canel lamented the loss of human life and material caused by the earthquake and, on behalf of the Cuban people and Government, extended his message to the families of the victims.

Likewise, the member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, expressed, through his official account on the social network Twitter, the solidarity of the Greater of the Antilles and the most sincere condolences with the peoples and governments of Turkey and Greece, equally affected.

According to recent data, more than 100 people died from the earthquake in Turkey, the number of injured exceeds a thousand, and some 180 buildings were damaged or destroyed.
