Havana: At midnight yesterday, November 9, 2,937 patients were admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 791 suspects, 1,635 and 511 confirmed under surveillance, the official website of MINSAP publishes.

For COVID-19, 8,219 samples were studied, resulting in 43 positive samples. The country accumulates 926 thousand 778 samples carried out and 7 thousand 392 positives (0.80%).

Of the 43 diagnosed cases, 42 are Cubans and 1 foreigner. Of the 43 diagnosed cases, two are imported, forty-one were contacts of confirmed cases and two have a source of infection abroad, twenty-two are women and 21 men. 62.8% (27) of the 43 positive cases were asymptomatic.

Tthe cases belong to Pinar del Río 32, Havana 9 (imported), Villa Clara 2 (1 imported).

In hospitals there are 511 (6.9%) confirmed patients, of which 508 (99.4%) have stable clinical evolution. 130 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 28 discharges of the day, 6,749 recovered patients accumulate (91.3%) and three patients in intensive care, of them one critical and two seriously ill.

Until November 9, 185 countries with cases of COVID-19 are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 50 million 414 thousand 287 (+ 468 thousand 893) and 1 million 255 thousand 831 deaths (+ 5 thousand 556) for a fatality of 2 , 49 (-0.01).

In the region of the Americas, 21 million 880 thousand 388 confirmed cases (+ 143 thousand 211) are reported, 43.40% of the total cases reported in the world, with 660 thousand 427 deaths (+ thousand 292) for a fatality of 3.02% (-0.01).
