Cuba: At midnight yesterday, November 18, 2,687 patients have been admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 540 suspected, 1,756 under surveillance and 391 confirmed, the official website of MINSAP publishes.
For COVID-19, 8,684 samples were studied, resulting in 21 positive samples.
Of the total of cases, 13 were contacts of confirmed cases, seven with a source of infection abroad and one without a specified source of infection; twelve were women and 9 men. 66.6% (14) of the 21 positive cases were asymptomatic.
The cases belong to Pinar del Río 11 cases, 2 of them imported, Havana 3, (2 imported) Matanzas 1 imported, Cienfuegos 1 imported case, Las Tunas (2, one of them imported), Holguín 3 cases.
391 confirmed patients (5.1%) remain admitted, all (100%) with stable clinical evolution. 131 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 29 discharges of the day, 7 thousand 201 recovered patients accumulate (93.2%). No patient is reported in serious or critical condition.
Until November 18, 186 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 55 million 743 thousand 988 (+ 589 thousand 309) and 1 million 339 thousand 436 deaths (+ 10 thousand 899) for a lethality of 2 , 40.
In the region of the Americas, 23 million 918 thousand 801 confirmed cases (+ 221 thousand 214) are reported, 42.90% of the total cases reported in the world, with 687 thousand 678 deaths (+ 3 thousand 76) for a fatality of 2.88% (-0.01)
