Beijing: Health authorities in China today decreed the high epidemiological risk and quarantined a residential community in Tianjin (north) that reported four autochthonous cases of Covid-19, Prensa Latina publishes.

Three of the patients are members of the same family and the other is a gardener from the neighborhood, located in the Dongjiang Free Trade Zone.

All tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus this week in a second health test, since the previous one on the 10th showed them healthy.

Apart from them, 1,900 neighbors are under medical observation and the government asked the rest of the residents of the community to avoid unnecessary exits until the emergency level is degraded.

They also monitor a daycare center and a hospital because they had ties to two of the patients.

Tianjin accumulates seven confirmed cases of Covid-19 and another five asymptomatic after a longshoreman in its port contracted the disease earlier this month.

In general, China has at least 4,746 deaths from pneumonia and 91,994 infections in its mainland, Macao, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. (BSH)
