Havana: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported 69 new cases with Covid-19 on Monday, after the study of 9,887 samples in the country’s laboratories for an accumulated of 1,261,754 samples and 9,492 positive samples.
At midnight yesterday, 3,906 patients were admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 806 suspects, 2,231 under surveillance and 869 confirmed.
Of the total of cases, 30 were contacts of confirmed cases, 37 with a source of infection abroad and two without a source of infection specified on the day.
79.7% (55) of the 69 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 6,106, which represents 64.3% of those confirmed to date.
The cases correspond to Pinar del Río (1 imported case), Artemisa (8 cases, 3 imported), Havana (32 cases, 21 imported), Mayabeque (1 imported case), Matanzas (10 cases, 2 imported), Cienfuegos ( 4 cases), Ciego de Ávila (4 cases, 1 imported), Las Tunas (2 cases, 1 imported), Granma (1 imported case), Guantánamo (1 imported case).
Of the 9,492 patients diagnosed with the disease, 869 remain confirmed, 861 of them with stable clinical evolution. 137 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 50 discharges of the day, 8 thousand 484 recovered patients accumulate (89.4%), eight patients, all serious in intensive care.
Until December 12, 186 countries reported COVID-19 cases, amounting to 70 million 958 thousand 48 confirmed cases (+625 thousand 547) and 1 million 605 thousand 595 deaths (+ 9 thousand 594) for a fatality of 2, 26 (=).
