Havana, Cuba: Despite the restrictions imposed today by Covid-19, thousands of people joined employment in January, the Cuban Minister of Labor and Social Security, Maria Elena Feito announced, Prensa Latina publishes.

In her Twitter account, she subscribed that during the first month of the year 38,493 people joined the labor market.

From that total 30 percent are young people under 35 years of age, the official said.

Citizen incorporation into work is one of the consequences of the so-called Ordering Task, which since January 1 unified the currency, eliminated subsidies and gratuities and launched a wage and price reform.

The statistics reveal that, so far, the municipal Labor directorates have served more than 56 thousand citizens interested in the job options offered.
