Instituto Preuniversitario Vocacional de Ciencias Exactas Amistad Cuba-Suecia, acogerá centro de aislamiento para casos sospechosos a la Covid-19.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The creation of a new Isolation Center based at the Vocational Pre-university Institute of Exact Science (IPVCP) Amistad Cuba-Sweden, located in the municipality of Melena del Sur, is part of the actions to prevent and control regrowth of Covid-19, in this province with high incidence and in a limited autochthonous phase.

This center is number 14 regionally and will receive suspected cases of contagion by SARS-CoV-2, from the municipalities Batabanó, Quivicán, Melena del Sur and could assume, if necessary, patients from Güines.

A few hours ago, the first of four brigades that will initially work in the Red Zone was created, made up of 14 men and women from the Union of Education, Science and Sports Workers.

In the next few days, another 3 of these structures will be formed, one with personnel belonging to the commerce, gastronomy and services sector, and another mixed with representatives of different production and service centers.

The fourth brigade will have representatives from the Young Communists League (UJC) and 58 students from the ?Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez? Agrarian University of Havana (UNAH), who will be accompanied by colleagues with experience in treating the pandemic.

The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), in Melena del Sur, Ismary Díaz Cabrera, expressed: ?we have the responsibility, discipline and dedication of the people of this territory, in supporting this task, which requires the altruism that characterizes us, especially those who reside in this municipality, as it will avoid the transfer to other more distant centers, to those who need it and live in towns in the south of the province?.

 ?There is all the medical insurance (9 doctors and 9 nurses) to comply with the requirements and the isolation is satisfactory?, Díaz Cabrera added.
