Mayabeque, Cuba: The young woman from Batabanó, Yuneibis Acosta Cabrera, is trained as a graduate in the specialty of Nutrition at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Mayabeque.

As a result of the epidemiological situation caused by the pandemic, she studies the second year at a distance, at the same time that she faces this faceless disease in the communities of her town.

In the Paso Redondo settlement, belonging to the Batabanó municipality, Yuneibis takes care of its residents with the same integrity as a professional who loves what she does.

For her, deepening the active research in the community, as her teachers explained to her, is one of the main actions to stop the pandemic, as well as the adequate work of promotion and education for health in order to preserve life.

Like her, many young people in Cuba are committed to her health, voluntarily risking theirs to save that of others.
