Ydael Jesús Pérez, new Minister of Agriculture.

Havana: The Council of State approved today to release Gustavo Rodríguez from the position of head of Agriculture in Cuba and appoint Ydael Jesús Pérez, who served as first vice minister.

As reported by the national television, that decision was a proposal by the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel.

Likewise, Rodolfo Gonzalo Rodríguez, president of the Labiofam Business Group, was appointed as the first vice minister of the organization.

Pérez, 48, is an agronomist and has traveled from the base to his current responsibility.
