Havana, Cuba: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Saturday 10 deaths and 915 samples positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for an accumulated of 107 thousand 622 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation.
During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at midnight yesterday 22,073 patients were admitted, of them 3,873 suspects, 12,763 in epidemiological surveillance and 5,437 confirmed.
Durán explained that the country carried out 23 thousand 384 samples the day before for a cumulative of 3 million 654 thousand 854 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of the 915 patients, 332 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 876 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 21 have a source of infection abroad and in 18 people the source of infection is unknown. 894 are autochthonous.
Of the total confirmed, 399 are male and 516 female. Regarding the age groups, 146 patients were diagnosed under 19 years of age and 133 were diagnosed in pediatric ages (6 under one year). There are still active hospitalized 740. In the ages of 19 to 39 years, 280 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years about 310 cases and 179 people older than 60 years.

He specified that, of the 107 thousand 622 patients diagnosed with the disease since the beginning of it, 5 thousand 437 confirmed hospitalizations, of them 5 thousand 360 with stable clinical evolution. 644 deaths are reported (10 in the last day) for a fatality of 0.61. The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 101 thousand 473 recovered patients accumulate (872 discharges of the day). 37 patients in critical condition and 40 patients in serious condition are reported.
