Havana; Cuba: Cuba reported 1 010 new cases of Covid-19 this Wednesday, for a cumulative of 111 654 since March 2020 and eight deaths, reported in his daily television appearance Dr. Francisco Durán García, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), Radio Habana Cuba reports.
The country woke up this Tuesday with 21,105 admitted patients: 3,348 suspects, 12,165 under surveillance and 5,592 confirmed.
During the day, 21,067 samples were analyzed in the country, of which 1,010 were positive.
Of the 1,010 diagnosed, 949 are autochthonous and 61 are imported (the highest figure in the last 15 days)
90.6% (915) are contacts of confirmed cases. They have accumulated 105 633 (94.6% of the total) since the beginning of the pandemic.
In 34 cases, work is still being done to determine the source of infection, 399 (39.5%) were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.
Of the 111 thousand 654 patients diagnosed with the disease, 5 thousand 592 remain hospitalized, of which 5 thousand 482 with stable clinical evolution. There are 694 deaths (8 in the day), for a fatality of 2.09; two evacuees, 54 returned to their countries, on the day there were 986 discharges, 105 thousand 312 recovered patients (94.3%). 110 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 48 of them critical and 62 seriously ill.
